A story book for God's children. The Bible, especially the Old Testament, is packed full of true accounts from which many different applications of God's Word and illustrations of His love in our lives can be found. So are our own lives. Often when I read the Bible a particular incident or moment will come back to me and I'll immediately have a greater understanding of what I'm reading. Even better is when I'm experiencing something and I'm reminded of the Word that addresses my life at that moment. If we look, we can see evidence of God's presence and truth of His word through even the quickest and oddest events in our everyday lives. It makes Him so much more real to us and encourages us to keep believing, to keep trusting in Him. This collection is twelve such episodes from my own life or that of friends. Several are filled with humor, you might even laugh out loud. Others, well, not so much, as they were tense or difficult times. Add to those twelve one monologue and one parable, and you've got 14 great reads, each that can inspire and encourage you in just a few minutes time while you're waiting in line or taking a commercial break. Our Father is a Father of stories that inspire and illustrate. Jesus often taught using stories to encourage and explain. Hoping they can use some of mine to bless you in some way - to encourage, to inspire, or just to give you a much needed break.
