England 1874...The irresponsible Marcus Brody is suddenly guardian to his recently deceased brother's three little girls. Christmas is fast approaching and he needs feminine help from the children's maternal aunt, a reclusive young widow, Lady Alyssa, who wants nothing to do with her nieces.
