本书通过对每一件瓷器的介绍，引申到对古瓷窑址、生产历史、品种特色、文化内涵、历史背景、传承经过、吉祥寓意等方面知识的了解，起到"抛砖引玉"的作用，增加可读性；结合历史文献的记载和最新考古成果，增加知识性；结合与瓷器有关的历史故事和流传故事增加趣味性。Through the introduction of porcelains piece by piece, the book extends its contents onto the knowledge of ancient porcelain kiln site, production history, varietal character, culture connotation, historical background and heritage process, auspicious implication and other aspects, playing a role of "casting a brick to attract jade" and increasing its readability.
