While Family Matters is focused on the challenges, choices and changes that a couple goes through once they bring a baby/child into their lives, this also applies to couples that are adopting a child, not just going through pregnancy and delivery. This show is about adopting children domestically or internationally and what that means. Joining me is Jeanne Tate, Adoption Attorney and Founder of Heart of Adoptions (www.FloridaAdoptionAgency.com) who is sharing information about domestic adoptions, whether our of our foster care system or through private adoption, as well as the myths surrounding domestic adoptions. Then Rick Gibson, Licensed Social Worker in Minnesota, and Adoption Supervisor with The Children's Home Society and Family Services Organization (www.chsfs.org) spends time enlightening me about international adoptions and how the Hague Convention has affected adoptions with certain countries.
