本书分理论探讨、志稿撰写、志稿审查、史话选编、史地文选、史志书评、志书序跋、史志春秋、志海抒怀和附录十个部分，理论和实践相结合，主要探讨了军事志和年鉴编纂的重大问题，对军事史志的编纂具有一定的指导意义。This book has ten parts, i.e. theoretical discussion, annal draft writing, annal draft review, historical narrative selected works, history and geography selected works, chronicles review, preface and postscript of chronicles, changes of chronicles, chronicles lyric, and annex. In combination of theory and practice, it mainly discusses major issues on military chronicles and yearbook compilation, and has a certain guiding significance to the compilation of military chronicles.
