This LEXIS District of Columbia Advance Legislative Service, published quarterly, contains the recent acts enacted by the Council of the District of Columbia. Each pamphlet contains a summary of act titles and the text of the included acts. Each pamphlet also contains a cumulative table of the D.C. Code sections which have been amended, repealed, transferred or added, as well as provisions which are to be treated as notes to Code sections, and an index. The D.C. Register citation for each act is contained in the Table of Sections Affected. The Table of Sections Affected also contains each act's effective date, and law number assignments for temporary and permanent acts as soon as that information becomes available. Acts are printed exactly as passed. The acts are not edited by LexisNexis in any way. No changes to the font, spacing, or text of the act have been made; the act content appears exactly as received. Temporary code section numbers, assigned by LexisNexis to new material, appear in the Table of Sections Affected, and are subject to modification when the act is actually incorporated into the Code. Each pamphlet contains a Summary of Acts, a cumulative Table of Sections Affected, and a cumulative Index. This series does not contain notes to recent cases, Attorney General opinions, law review annotations, or Editor's Notes. For this information, please refer to the Advance Code Service and the semi-annual cumulative supplement to the Lexis District of Columbia Code. Full text versions of each bill and resolution comprising the District of Columbia Council Acts, as well as the full text of the District of Columbia Code, and an archive of the District of Columbia Council's Acts from previous periods are also available on lexis.com.
