In a small town in south-central Louisiana, Elizabeth Leblanc, a young stable hand, lived a fairly typical, slow paced, country life. Still dealing with the sudden and recent loss of her parents, she moved onto the family property with hopes of renovating an old house left there by her late family. Elizabeth's hopes for a simple life would be put on hold however when a handsome stranger moves to town and turns everything upside down. He confesses to being the demon known as Belial and Elizabeth is soon thrown into the middle of an otherworldly feud that has been going on for millennia. Skeptical at first, she only begins to believe the demon's story after she is attacked in her home by an angel.

After meeting Raguel, an archangel of Heaven, she learns he is in charge of keeping peace in heavenly realm and was sent to investigate the attacks against her. He claims that the angel hierarchy has not given any orders to attack, but the demons are skeptical and Elizabeth soon finds herself with two unwanted house guests.

With her life in danger she has to decide to who to trust, the demons of Hell or the angels of Heaven?
