Incredibly healthy and active in her late-80s, health and lifestyle guru Mary Perigoe shares her tips for maintaining the vitality of body and mind well into old age.

The book follows Mary's personal quest for whole health—mental, physical and spiritual—that took her beyond the confines of conventional medicine and religion, and includes instances of help that she believes came from the spiritual world and is available to us all, day by day as well as in times of crisis. Mary shares mistakes made and lessons learned in her early years, so that readers can see how she overcame her problems, found a fulfilling career as a natural health practitioner and, above all, a belief system that answered all her questions about life's apparent inequalities.

From Mary's lifetime of helping her clients achieve physical and emotional wellbeing, she will help you understand the principles of whole health, as formulated by the Ancient Greeks, and takes you through many practical exercises designed to improve posture, overcome emotional insecurity, delay the ageing process...and much more.

Mary is an embodiment of her integrative approach to body, mind and spirit: 'I still work,' she says, 'having up to three sessions a day of yoga, massage and keep fit, sometimes walking two to three miles between appointments. At 87, I am in much the same shape as I was in my thirties and forties.'

Mary Perigoe, a long-time contributor to the media on beauty and fitness, was one of the first to introduce yoga, reflexology and colour therapy to the British public. After switching from medical social work to natural health therapy in the 1960s, Mary designed exercise and body work programmes at Elizabeth Arden, the leading beauty salon in London, and then at the Berkeley Hotel, where she managed the health suite used by celebrities. Mary has lectured at the London College of Fashion, and has contributed to magazines and newspapers including Harpers and Queen and the Daily Telegraph. She has also run her own teaching and therapy practice in London, where she still lives.
