Deeply moved by the unknown story of Hurbinek, that three-year-old boy Primo Levi mentioned in "The Truce", the narrator will seek to rescue his memory from oblivion travelling to Auschwitz. A car accident will hinder him from reaching his destiny. While in hospital, he'll invent the possible lives Hurbinek might have lived had he not died in the camp.
