(A terrible plague broke out in Italy in 1348, which killed numerous people. Luckily, 7 young girls and 3 gentlemen who survived the plague escaped to a rural townhouse. Living there for 10 days, each of them told one story for one night and they told 100 stories in total, naming these stories as Decameron. Decameron, using sharp words and sarcastic and harmonious styles, shows the opposition against asceticism. With the bold and shrewish spirit and humorous approach, the book vividly describes the young people's struggle for love and reveals the sins of church and hypocrisy of feudal society to praise the real life. )
