This play for children to perform is humorously based on the book by Robert Louis Stevenson. There are the usual characters such as Jim Hawkins and Long John Silver; and then there are others, such as Long John's Parrot, Poly-Narrator who takes on several small parts, and some strangely-named pirates. Oh, it might have some of the same names; maybe a few of the same events, but usually not much like the book at all. So, I'm here to declare that if you want the real version of Treasure Island, read the book. Our presentation of Treasure Island is only based on the book."
