Guru Amardas Sahib Ji worked hard to spread the message of Sikhism. He went to several parts of India to spread his message. He also sent his Sikh missionaries to several parts of the country to spread the message of Sikhism.
Guru Ka Langar or Community Kitchen was already there in several villages and towns. He made those community kitchens stronger. He made a rule that all the visitors to the community kitchen would come in line and then have food. He called it 'Pehle Pangat Phir Sangat.'
