Ratchet Jack, a dock repairman and survivor of a river attack by the dark beasts that control it, finds himself ill and in need of crossing the dark beast infested river to settle his past with the notable tavern wench Osana. With the inventive help of Nimble Tom, they cross the river to find the ugly truth behind Jack's mysterious survival.
