Edison Quigley has found a large packet of dope. At least he hopes it is. He does not know exactly what dope looks like, but the circumstances in which he found it made him think it must be.

Now he wanted to use it to gain entree to a hipper crowd. His strange friend Leviticus was OK, but not hip. And maybe sell some of it, get some money and blow Hoseville for good.

Unfortunately the gangsters that lost the dope want it back, and a local bartender inadvertently gets involved.
