We studied at Glorious English Academy, the best high school in our town. Our headmaster, Pundit Hari Prasad, was very impressed by our manners, our discipline, and our studies. Both Dheeraj and I were counted among the good students at school.

I remember being the student of seventh grade in those days. Dheeraj's father had recently been promoted, but he suddenly got transferred.

After a few days, Dheeraj and his parents left our town and moved to Mumbai. At the time of separation, both Dheeraj and I cried. We embraced each other affectionately. I gave him a fountain pen as a parting gift. He told me that he would never forget me. I told him the same.
