This "attractive" scientific inquiry unit will be a useful supplemental tool to get your students excited about electricity and magnetism. The unit includes engaging activities that ask students to formulate questions, develop explanations and use different methods to share their findings. Electricity concepts include:history, electrons and protons, static electricity, conductors and insulators and circuits; magnetism concepts include: magnetic poles, attract & repel, aurora borealis, use of magnets in everyday life. The unit is designed using the 5E Model, which offers a sequence of activities for each phase of the model - ENGAGE, EXPLORE, EXPLAIN, ELABORATE and EVALUATE. Enjoy! Erica Colon
