Intrigue! Subterfuge! Circus Folk! In a time when the Industrial Revolution has escalated into all-out warfare, the world is ruled by mad scientists known as "Sparks"— with mixed success. After fleeing from Baron Klaus Wulfenbach's massive airship, young Spark Agatha Heterodyne goes into hiding with a travelling circus troupe dedicated to staging the adventures of the famous Heterodyne brothers. Unaware of her connection to the revered Spark dynasty, the circus folk enlist Agatha to service their clanks. But with Wulfenbach's crack troops on her trail, Agatha will need more than mad science if she is to traverse the treacherous wasteland of war-torn Europa and reclaim her ancestral home.
