Halloween Owl Addition and Subtraction
The quarter page number cards are great for playing math games. They can be used for addition or subtraction by making a pile and picking two cards. Add the two cards or subtract the smaller card from the larger card. Vertical number sentences can be recorded on the candy corn recording sheets.
Halloween Owl 10 Frame Puzzles
Match the owl picture to the 10 frame. Great for estimating quantities and relating them to the 10 frame.
Candy Corn Math
Laminate the ½ sheet candy corn images to make addition/subtraction "white boards". Candy corn counters can be used with the mats to work out solutions to number sentences. These are fun to use with real candy corn too! Put some candy corn in small dixie cups. Student picks some candy corn from the cup and puts them on the mat. Then picks some more to put in the middle section and adds them to the first set. The sum can be recorded on the candy corn recording sheets.
Halloween "Tic Tac Boo"
Pick two cards and add them together or subtract the smaller number from the larger number. If your answer is correct, put a marker on the playing card. The first person to get tic tac toe wins.
