This 30-page file is a presentation about European exploration and colonization (Portugal, Spain, England, & France). The presentation includes important facts and images about the motivation, obstacles, trade routes, important people (Prince Henry the Navigator, Christopher Columbus), etc. of the explorations by the Portuguese, Spanish, English, & French. There is a handy graphic organizer for students to write down the notes as they are discussed in this presentation. Also, there are three engaging activities to complete that can be done independently or with partners. Who needs a textbook when you have this file?!
