Jake and Kylie met when they were kids. Jake was outside with his friends playing street hockey when Kylie walked over to them wearing a backwards baseball cap and her father's flannel shirt. She was trying to fit in but her appearance was comical, like the tomboys on television. The shirt hung to her knees, and the bottoms of her worn out blue jeans were cuffed over her high top Chuck Taylors.
