Jake MacLeod barely knew the Uncle that left him a centuries old stone house on the coast of Maine. It is in a barren and isolated location, and Jake is inclined to just get rid of it.But his investigation uncovers two old Journals that explain some shady activity that the family has been engaged in going back to the Revolutionary War. That gets him involved more.When he is left for dead by unknown parties, he uses his military skills to track them down. Ultimately, he gets aid from a pretty girl and his only friend, an alcoholic veteran. But things go awry.The outcome is a surprise even to Jake.
