This ebook is the first installment in the series "TopGun Veg-Tool". This ebook provides the definition/description of the TopGun Veg-Tool instrument for the utility forester to implement his electric power transmission vegetation management program.Photographs of in-the-field use (actual inspections) of the TopGun are provided.The TopGun Veg-Tool allows the utility forester to satisfy all the requirements of the most recent regulatory requirements (e.g., NERC Standard FAC-003-2 Technical Reference) including multiple risk levels, multiple conductor operating conditions, multiple geographic boundaries, and multiple types of clearance violations.This ebook describes how the TopGun Veg-Tool can be used as a personal navigation aid in the field, a clearance violation detection/location device (inspections), an audit tool, and a reporting tool.Also, the benefits of using the TopGun Veg-Tool are discussed.
