In the course of an interrogation, Gabriel Carter, a homicide detective, whose life has been spiraling out of control, and a fourteen year-old junkie named Dylan, whose life has finally hit bottom, discover they have more in common than either of them could imagine. For two people that have seen more than their fair share of Hard Times, this night isn't what they want, but maybe what they need.
Alex J Ankrom was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He earned two degrees from Boston University: a BA in Political Science & Philosophy and an MFA in Creative Writing. He also has an MFA in Screenwriting from The American Film Institute. He has been a semifinalist in the Final Draft Big Break Contest and the Nicholl Fellowship. He currently lives in Los Angeles.
