A US military detective mystery set at U-Tapao Royal Thai Naval Air Base, Thailand, right at the end of the Vietnam War. Air Base involves two young US Air Force Security Police officers in their attempt to solve a massive Thai-operated theft ring on the base. It describes the cultural immersion of the protagonists into an exotic Southeast Asian country and the social interactions and clashes between the two cultures through the eyes of the participants.
