"the hidden spring" is a moving allegory on the life of a man born into a perfectly beautiful place with a perpetually cool spring right in the center of his universe. for a reason he never understands, he leaves his home and goes exploring the world - for what he doesn't even know. and though he searches everywhere and fights valiantly to achieve his goals, nothing ever satisfies him and he grows old, but not wise. finally, in a last ditch attempt to find lasting peace and happiness, he sets out once again into the unknown.
