Separated from her husband, she went on a sea voyage but the ship was blown up by terrorists. She floated on a makeshift raft for weeks, barely subsisting on raw fish, through a storm and threatened by sharks, eventually reaching a volcanic island, where alone, she faces life-threatening situations and challenges in order to survive. Later she is joined by someone whom at first she resents, but comes to love and would protect with her life, if necessary. Together, they brave the disasters Nature throws at them.
