Edward Jenkins is a twenty-three-year-old professional footballer and is living the dream. He has a luxury flat, a flashy car and a beautiful girlfriend and never gives a thought to the needs of anyone else. His life is then changed completely and his eyes are opened to the needs of other people. Mary Garrington is a blind fourteen-year-old and lives each day in the hope that she will be able to have an operation to restore her sight. Her world falls apart when she is told that she will not be able to have the operation and will be blind for the rest of her life. Unknown to Mary, all her dreams and her future depended on the turn of a coin.
