When a group of Aborigines accidentally set fire to the bush in a remote part of Queensland, they uncovered a vital secret dating back to the Second World War. The scene was photographed by a US spy satellite, but NASA employee Paddy Thorne stole the photograph with a view to diplomatic blackmail. Now, in the course of Thorne's escape from those sent to retrieve the picture and assassinate him, he enlists the help of ebullient Australian adventurer Vic Bannister ... but as the pace hots up, both men begin to realize they've uncovered a betrayal of such magnitude that it could shake the Western world and split hitherto-traditional allies. Their only option is to run, because they know too much and too many people want them dead. Trouble is ... there's nowhere to hide.
