Après que son village a été anéanti par une tribu ennemie, Geneviève Aubuchon, une orpheline abenakise, est adoptée par une famille québécoise. Elle s'inquiète beaucoup au sujet de son frère aîné, qui s'est joint à une autre tribu abénakise afin d'aider les Français à defendre la colonie contre les Anglais. Le pire est à venir puisque la bataille des plaines d'Abraham semble imminente.

After her village was destroyed by an enemy tribe, Geneviève Aubuchon, an Abenaki orphan, is adopted by a Quebec family. She worries a lot about her older brother, who joined another Abenaki tribe to help the French defend the colony against the English. But the worst is yet to come as the Battle of the Plains of Abraham seems imminent.
