Nothing in life is simple, as George Richter soon finds out. He had just returned home to Vienna when his boss calls him. There is a labor dispute and George has to drive back and deliver a large sum of cash so the company can meet the payroll. On the way he crashes his car and wakes up in the hospital. Is the money still in the wrecked car? The investigating detective finds it, but it is more, than should be there. The cop and George decide to keep the difference. But the owners, are most unhappy about their decision. The ensuing violence teaches George many things. His divorced mother's boyfriend, a retired secret agent teaches him a few things. George has his hands full to keep his secret life from his new and very beautiful girl. A mysterious and powerful Armenian  befriends George, who discovers the connection between the money and his new friend. A sinister phone call, the cold war and Viennese Police further complicate the situation all the way to an explosive and violent end.
