Ghosts have been turning up in our stories since humans began keeping records. There are the loving ghosts who cling to us because neither the living nor the dead can bear to let go; there are the vengeful ghosts, or those with unfinished business here on our world who are less beneficently inclined. Ghosts can protect, and warn, and hurt.But mostly ghosts remember. They are the very essence of memory, carrying moments of frozen time with them. And with this they both move and frighten us. There are many kinds of ghosts - ghosts of spirits of the innocent dead, ghosts of horror and regret, ghosts of those yet to be born...Here are the stories of three of them.
