The author has found over 200 diamonds at Arkansas' Crater of Diamonds State Park. Two of them have weighed over two carats each. He shares his true experiences and explains how he and his brother almost found an 8.61-carat diamonds. Decades later he tracked down the people who did find that huge gem and brought it out of hiding so the public could view and appreciate this remarkable, USA diamond. This is the fourth largest diamond out of 30,800 that have been registered since the Crater of Diamonds became a state park in 1972.
