The inspiration for Like a Watered Garden came from a ten-minute opening in a Bible Study Fellowship class thirty-five years ago. The teacher mentioned Psalm 92:12: "The righteous man will flourish like a palm tree, He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon." Thanks to lengthy naps by her three-year-old son, she researched the plants and trees of the Bible for the next year. Discovering how little was written on that subject, she conceived a dream to write a book on them. Like a Watered Garden is the culmination of ten years of research, much encouragement and guidance by God, and the result of many prayers. The combination of the vivid pictures, the biblical foundation, and the personal reflections present a beautiful image of how our lives can look like God's watered garden.
