Engaged to be married, the young merman named Meros has just found the perfect wedding gift for his bride-to-be when he's scooped unceremoniously from the sea in a scientist's net and is held hostage at a research lab. Once Meros' soon-to-be father-in-law and king of all oceans, the powerful Merlyn, learns of his abduction, he arranges to kidnap the scientist's own son in retaliation and holds him for ransom.
