The Revised Rules of Criminal Procedure were annotated with pertinent provisions of the 1987 Philippine Constitution, legislations, jurisprudence and issuances by the Supreme Court, administrative issuances of the Department of Justice, and opinions of legal luminaries.

This book was first published in 2004 and underwent five revisions. The fifth edition (2019), consisting of 689 pages, is currently available at some leading bookstores in the Philippines as well as online retailers. The lay-out of this edition was slightly modified and its contents were updated, though the updates of this Smashwords edition are less significant.
