Thirty-four-year-old graphic designer Stevie Jonson is all set to marry Jez, her long-term boyfriend and not-quite-the-man-of-her dreams. The week before the wedding she begins to have second thoughts, and fantasizes about running off to New York City. But Stevie is desperate to start a family, and Jez, despite all his faults, really does love her, so she quells any doubts she may have and decides to go through with it. Soon after the wedding, her path collides with Katy Norris, a narcissistic goddess-type with a perfect body, perfect job, perfect nose, even, and a not-so-perfect younger boyfriend who refuses to commit.
