This is a story of a prime waterfront farm on Chincoteague Bay. The owner, an old woman, is in a nursing home. The farm is mostly wetlands but has valuable waterfront property overlooking Assateague Island. But it also has the northern most brown pelican rookery on the east coast. Developers, politicians and environmentalists battle for control of the property. Some even try to marry the future heiress.
