God has left our world, Lucifer has returned to take control. After centuries away Lucifer returns to a world that has changed dramatically from the one he knew. Lucifer struggles to understand modern society and is appalled at the atrocities mankind has managed to inflict upon itself since his feud with God.Lucifer befriends a widowed bicycle courier who shows Lucifer that mankind can be good despite the actions of some. Filling in the blanks in history since his departure, Lucifer begins to formulate a plan to right the path of humanity.
