Year 2447. The world is a very different place. Genetic science now determines the winners and loosers in the levelled and zoned civilisation called Eurodon, the last now left on earth. After a series of progressions in genetic technology, a final challenge remains: the genetic control of the human brain. Given all that has gone before, it is a logical, final progression in this dystopian society where genetics is the new eutopia.

Step forward one man: Dinas-A5. A rising star as a Genetic Modifying Officer. Sent to deal with a seemingly minor genetic malfunction at the lowly Level D Enclave 7, he discovers a more sinister threat to the stability of their entire genetically controlled existence. It seems only Dinas-A5 has the capability to save Eurodon. But at every turn, his progress seems thwarted by unwelcome events, personal distractions and emotional disappointments that leave him questioning his own abilities, confidence and his standing in that perfect society.

And who is there to help him or perhaps hinder him is his great task? Can his Level B assistant, Lyder-B3, be trusted? Who is working against him and for what purpose? Who are the real powers behind the thin and complex web of Sub Councils and of the Genetic Modifying Officer Clearing Centre and the shadowy figures that serve on them? Somewhere, at the centre of the web, the real control lies.

Faced with a race against time and an seemingly impossible personal quest, Dinas-A5 becomes the focus of a much bigger challenge. But, will he succeed, both for his own personal gain, and for the grander ambitions of others as nature and nurture lock horns, perhaps for final time?
