The modern London of the late eighteen hundreds is a city of electric cars, blimps and alliances that were unthinkable before the war with Ghenghis Khan.

A group of brave adventurers culled from the best minds of their time join together to take on the biggest crimes of their century, but not just to solve crimes, but also mysteries that have mystified humanity since the dawn of time.

Holmes and Watson, Conan Doyle, Houdini and Professor Challenger have embarked on a quest to find the entrance to the Land of Fairy to explore it and discover new beings and civilizations. During their quest they are interrupted by the terrible Hyde, a disembodied spirit split off from the very kind and noble Doctor Jekyll.

Hyde diverts them to the center of the earth where they encounter advanced beings from Shamballa, who thrust them back to London, but not of their time, but of a parallel world and time. Where Jack the Ripper looks exactly like one of them!

They must solve the unthinkable and find a way back to their own time and realms, before they are publicly hung in a strange time and place by a disbelieving world.
