This book contains information about human beings as leaders. We refer to them as 'human leaders' to enhance understanding of the subjects discussed in this book. I make this statement because there are also virtual leaders that exist within our lives. For example, the internet as a whole entity, various websites, mobile phones, electricity, oil, and more. These virtual leaders exert influence on existence as a whole and individual lives.
Please do not confuse the terms 'leader' and 'manager,' which we aim to explain in this book, with the name of the job or position you currently hold. You may be in a position called 'manager,' but you might actually be acting as a leader. Only you can make that judgment.
Furthermore, it is important to note that there is no official position anywhere in the world that can be called 'leader.' Nobody in the world has ever signed a contract stating they were 'hired in a leadership position' or 'acting as a leader.' However, many labor contracts are signed with the title of 'manager.' Essentially, many leaders are labeled as managers.
It is up to you as an individual to evaluate yourself based on the indications and insights from this book, as well as other materials you may have read, to reflect on your behavior during your daily activities. After reading this book, you will gain a clearer understanding of whether you tend to act more as a leader or a manager. Everyone possesses varying degrees of leadership and management abilities. I encourage you to discover your own percentage: from a total of 100%, determine how much of a leader and how much of a manager you are.
This book is perfect for those seeking insights on leadership versus management, the distinction between a leader and a manager, leadership skills, management skills, and more.
