Since Richard was five years old, and almost died of hepatitis, he has struggled with one tragedy after another. From a wife who left him, a business that went under, a daughter who was abused as a toddler, and now a neurological disorder he and his family have seen their share of struggles. Yet, believing there is a purpose for these struggles they continue to push forward.

In his latest book, "It is Well . . .", Richard opens a window into his family as they are caught in the whirlwind of life and struggles. Born the son of a preacher, Richard followed in his father footsteps as a bi-vocational minister/pastor in Texas, Oklahoma, and California. Along with being a bi-vocational minister Richard has been an accomplished portrait and news photographer for more than twenty-five years. Some of his work includes pictures of the President of the United States, NASCAR drivers, pop singers, and many others. He has written stories for Baptist Press, Southwestern News, and many newspapers and magazines across the nation. He has also published other books including his 2009 best seller All or Nothing.

"It is Well . . ." is about one family's devotion to see God and understand His love as their life cycles through the repeating phases of tragedy and hope.
