The small city of El Paso was the first to witness hell first hand. The skies filled with fire and smoke, and the ground was laid to waste by giant fireballs that scraped the earth as they bounced off in the distance.

Joe finds himself awakened from his dream only to find out that it had overtaken his reality. Unable to distinguish between the two, he sets out on a journey to escape a devastating alien invasion. After coming in contact with other survivors, he realizes that he is undergoing an inexplicable transformation that has given him special abilities. Unable to fully comprehend what is happening to him, he decides to embark on a journey towards the truth. His first stop, the asylum, where his father resides.
