This short ebook compares two important surviving elements of 15th Century armour: a detached German besagew and a fine pair of Italian 'Alla Tedesca' pauldrons. Both date from the late 15th Century. It explains how besagews were mounted on pauldrons and spaulders, and concludes with patterns (to scale) taken from the besagews. It is an excellent resource for museum professionals and living history enthusiasts alike, interested in arms and armour of the 15th Century.
