Dr. John Schiller returns to the small mining town in New Mexico where he grew up to sell the old family home that he dislikes and fears. His friend persuades him to stay in the home and confront the ghosts of his past. What his friend doesn't realize is that those ghosts are literal! One of the ghosts is that of a murdered childhood friend. John, his friend the psychiatrist, and an affectionate waitress work to solve the murder-mystery, as John tries to find love again.
