An epic love story that spans centuries, between Parker from the 1960's America and Tamea, warrior princess from the India region of the world in the late 1500's. Under normal circumstances these two should never have met, but time itself has been skewed, thus taking matters into its own clock hands.

Tamea has manifesting gifts, besides having great reflexes and communicating with animals. Besides handling these awakened paranormal gifts, she must come to terms with all the technological wonders these neighbors from Altare have at their disposal. To make matters worse, she's not entirely sure she can trust Parker, when she finds he is keeping his country's secrets from her.

This book is very fast paced and for those who have problems with violence, there are graphic scenes of torture in this book. In war, these sorts of things happen and unfortunately necessary to the movement of the characters in this series. Remember that in the 1500's, women were second class citizens and in Asia, they were bought, sold, and treated in whatever manner their owners wished.
