Quick to knit and great for gifts, mitts/wrist warmers are a versatile accessory for both men and women. The simple thumb opening spares you the increasing and shaping of a thumb gusset, and ribbing holds the mitts in place.

Intermediate- cast on, knit, purl, bind off, and use double pointed needles.

Size

Small/Child (Medium, Large)

6 (7.5, 8) inches around

Yarn

150 yards heavy worsted or aran weight handspun- sample is yarn from Midnightsky Fibers

Materials

-Size 5 double pointed needles, or size to get gauge

-A tapestry needle to weave in ends

Gauge

4.5 stitches/inch. Do a gauge swatch to make sure you have the correct gauge.
