Abraham Portman's father dies and leaves a letter offering Abraham ten thousand pound if he takes out his wife for six months. Abraham who is twenty-three, has not seen his father since he was six and he regards it as a very strange request. If Abraham had realised that his father's request would put his life and those of his family and friends at risk, he would have thrown the letter in the bin.
