Flashpacks are collections of five flash fiction stories. In Lizard Brain and other stories, there's a hospital theme to these supernatural pieces. The five stories here are, "Akio Draws Manga", "Finding Keys", "Fledgling", "Airhead" and "Lizard Brain" - A boy whose drawings come to life, a betrayed wife, a nurse helping her injured sister in the ER, a veteran with locked-in syndrome and a woman who treats her gambling addiction with radical brain surgery. These stories, all published individually in 2010 in online magazines, are gathered together here for the first time.
