Do we see redemption selfishly, as something that only impacts us personally? Do we make second chances only about us - how do we change our behavior, how do we reconcile with our own shortcomings? While this is an important step in the process of getting a second chance, it shouldn't be the only step. Why don't we see a second chance as our own way to positively impact the lives of others while atoning for our missteps? A second chance affords us an opportunity to use our time and talents to improve the lives of others. Just as we see those who continue to make mistakes and get many chances; there are individuals who took their second chance to create something meaningful to help others.
